At the meeting several people asked for updates on the fishing so here goes: I've been to One acre pool four times, caught common carp of 11, 13 1/4 and 8 LB I know this is correct as I weighed all of them, plus one Tench to 4 1/2 LB. Sadly the tench caught on a carp rod so it could not give as good account of it'self as if it was caught on a float rod, but still I think pound for pound a tench fights harder than any carp. I know in some circles this is a controversial thing so say but there you go! I last went to one ace yesterday (Sunday) I had carp take the bait four times but missed all of them, but the big thing is that all the carp now appear to be spawning, with them pairing up and splashing against the reeds in the corner near the gate. I was with a man on Saturday who caught a small tench, and we saw a shoal of what I think were small Roach. No evidence of any Bream at all though. I hope this helps, and I will try and make the work party, I would have liked to have come to the pub tonight but sadly I am away with work. Best Wishes Edward (Ted) Foreman.
Greetings one and all, well me at the moment.
